Biography

Riccardo D’Attis is a guitarist, composer, and arranger leading the solo project that bears his name.

The project’s story began a few years ago when Riccardo was a student at the Conservatoire National à Rayonnement Régional (CNRR) in Nice

Where he took his first steps in composition. He started studying at the conservatory at the age of 20, embarking on a long and challenging journey while working in restaurants to support himself financially.

In the following years, Riccardo began composing music, driven by the need to express himself and reveal who he truly is. During his university studies at the University of Musicology in Nice, he developed a deep interest in Renaissance, classical, and Baroque music. This influence inspired his personal quest to blend instrumental rock/metal with orchestral music, following the path of the bands he has always admired.

This creative process led to the production of his first tracks, which were later released in his debut album, The Right Path. The album opens with a piece entirely written for strings, piano, percussion, and vocals, followed by instrumental rock/metal compositions accompanied by an orchestra.

Currently, Riccardo works as a teacher at two private schools: MusicArte in Camporosso, Italy, and Bubble Art in Nice, France.

In recent years, Riccardo has achieved significant milestones with his music, including reaching the finals of the Tour Music Fest, one of the most prestigious European music competitions, where he performed his track A New Mind. Meanwhile, the project started gaining traction on stage, progressing from conservatory exam performances in theaters to independent shows in underground venues in southern France.

Riccardo’s determination to take his project to greater heights led him to dedicate himself intensely to networking, contacting venues, producers, and managers to find support. This effort brought him into collaboration with Alessandro Liccardo, president of Volcano Records and Promotion.

After listening to Riccardo’s music, Liccardo was captivated by the guitarist’s unique style. Their collaboration resulted in the release of three singles in the winter of 2024: Engine Fault, Timeless Dimension, and Red Moon, which collectively garnered 20,000 streams. This success opened the door for Riccardo to enter the American market, securing an opportunity to perform at the legendary Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, a venue that has hosted iconic bands like Aerosmith and Nirvana, as well as legends such as Jeff Beck.

In addition to Whisky a Go Go, Riccardo and his band will perform at the 2025 edition of the NAMM Show, the world’s largest trade show for musical instruments and accessories. This event represents a unique chance to connect with his idols and further solidify his artistic journey.

Furthermore, a single recording session is scheduled at Steckhouse Studios in Los Angeles. All these activities will take place during the last week of January 2025, promising an extraordinary start to the year.

In October and November 2025 they will play some gigs in Japan.

But 2025 holds even more surprises…
